NOW there was a certain man sick, named Lazarus, of Bethania, of the town of Mary and Martha her sister.


1 And if two lie together, they shall warm one another: how shall one alone be warmed?


7 He that loveth good cheer, shall be in want: he that loveth wine, and fat things, shall not be rich.


3 And he said that he would destroy them: had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach: To turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy them.


But according to thy hardness and impenitent heart, thou treasurest up to thyself wrath, against the day of wrath, and revelation of the just judgment of God.


5 As in Osee he saith: I will call that which was not my people, my people; and her that was not beloved, beloved; and her that had not obtained mercy, one that hath obtained mercy.


Sing ye to the Lord, for he hath done great things: shew this forth in all the earth.


Peter therefore went out, and that other disciple, and they came to the sepulchre.

4 Behold the people shall rise up as a lioness, and shall lift itself up as a lion: it shall not lie down till it devour the prey, and drink the blood of the slain.


0 And therefore the Lord slew him, be- cause he did a detestable thing.
