7 That Christ may dwell by faith in your hearts; that being rooted and founded in charity,


9 Immediately therefore they departed from him that were about to torture him. The tribune also was afraid after he understood that he was a Roman citizen, and because he had bound him.


And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Juda a possessor of my mountains: and my elect shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there.


2 And now I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, who is able to build up, and to give an inheritance among all the sanctified.


6 And he said: Let us make man to our image and likeness: and let him have dominion over the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the air, and the beasts, and the whole earth, and every creeping creature that moveth upon the earth.


Come ye, therefore, let us go down, and there may not understand one another's speech.


And they to whom I send thee are children of a hard face, and of an obstinate heart: and thou shalt say to them: Thus saith the Lord God:


5 And Micheas said: Thou shalt see in the day when thou shalt go into a chamber within a chamber to hide thyself.


3 And these wheels he called voluble, in my hearing.

7 Believest thou the prophets, O king Agrippa? I know that thou believest.


And said: Here am I: for thou didst call me. Then Heli understood that the Lord called the child, and he said to Samuel: Go, and sleep: and if he shall call thee any more, thou shalt say: Speak, Lord, for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and slept in his place.


And he said to me: The iniquity of the house of Israel, and of Juda, is exceeding great, and the land is filled with blood, and the city is filled with perverseness: for they have said: The Lord hath forsaken the earth, and the Lord seeth not.


After these things, God tempted Abraham, and said to him: Abraham, Abraham. And he answered: Here I am.


1 And behold an angel of the Lord from heaven called to him, saying: Abraham, Abraham. And he answered: Here I am.


2 And they mourned, and wept, and fasted until evening for Saul, and for Jonathan his son, and for the people of the Lord, and for the house of Israel, because they were fallen by the sword.
