And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God, who hath power over these plagues, neither did they penance to give him glory.


And that great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, who seduceth the whole world; and he was cast unto the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.


3 And these wheels he called voluble, in my hearing.


Blessed be the Lord the God of Israel, who hath accomplished in deed that which he spoke to David my father, saying:


And the Lord called Moses, and spoke to him from the tabernacle of the testimony, saying:


For behold I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, as corn is sifted in a sieve: and there shall not a little stone fall to the ground.


5 Then the fountains of waters appeared, and the foundations of the world were discovered: At thy rebuke, O Lord, at the blast of the spirit of thy wrath.


And they to whom I send thee are children of a hard face, and of an obstinate heart: and thou shalt say to them: Thus saith the Lord God:


4 And in the two doors on both sides were two little doors, which were folded within each other: for there were two wickets on both sides of the doors.


2 Because they ministered to them before their idols, and were a stumblingblock of iniquity to the house of Israel: therefore have I lifted up my hand against them, saith the Lord God, and they shall bear their iniquity:
