0 And my enemy shall behold, and she shall be covered with shame, who saith to me: Where is the Lord thy God? My eyes shall look down upon her: now shall she be trodden under foot as the mire of the streets.


Whose are the fathers, and of whom is Christ, according to the flesh, who is over all things, God blessed for ever. Amen.


1 Now the church had peace throughout all Judea, and Galilee, and Samaria; and was edified, walking in the fear of the Lord, and was filled with the consolation of the Holy Ghost.

IN the year that king Ozias died, I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne high and elevated: and his train filled the temple.


0 As my hand hath found the king- dome of the idol, so also their idols of Jerusalem, and of Samaria.


They were all confounded at a people that could not profit them: they were no help, nor to any profit, but to confusion and to reproach.


5 Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high: and the desert shall be se a charmel, and charmel shall be counted for a forest.


2 For our iniquities are multiplied before thee, and our sins have testified against us: for our wicked doings are with us, and we have known our iniquities:


8 Woe to them that desire the day of the Lord: to what end is it for you? the day of the Lord is darkness, and not light.


And thou hast said: I shall be a lady for ever: thou hast not laid these things to thy heart, neither hast thou remembered thy latter end.


0 There shall no more be an infant of days there, nor an old man that shall not fill up his days: for the child shall die a hundred years old, and the sinner being a hundred years old shall be accursed.


2 For thus saith the Lord: Behold I will bring upon her as it were a river of peace, and as an overflowing torrent the glory of the Gentiles, which you shall suck; you shall be carried at the breasts, end upon the knees they shall caress you.


4 Samech. Thou hast set a cloud before thee, that our prayer may not pass through.
