And I will make her that halted, a remnant: and her that hath been afflicted, a mighty nation: and the Lord will reign over them in mount Sion, from this time now and for ever.


Therefore speak to them, and say to them: Thus saith the Lord God: Man, man of the house of Israel that shall place his uncleannesses in his heart, and set up the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and shall come to the prophet inquiring of me by him: I the Lord will answer him according to the multitude of his uncleannesses:


6 They profess that they know God: but in their works they deny him; being abominable, and incredulous, and to every good work reprobate.


1 Amen, amen I say to you: If any man keep my word, he shall not see death for ever.


Behold you fast for debates and strife. and strike with the fist wickedly. Do not fast as you have done until this day, to make your cry to be heard on high.


1 To what purpose do you offer me the multitude of your victims, saith the Lord? I am full, I desire not holocausts of rams, and fat of fatlings, and blood of calves, and lambs, and buck goats.


5 To the only God our Saviour through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory and magnificence, empire and power, before all ages, and now, and for all ages of ages. Amen.


0 But you, my beloved, building yourselves upon you most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,


2 But these men, as irrational beasts, naturally tending to the snare and to destruction, blaspheming those things which they know not, shall perish in their corruption,


1 To him be glory and empire for ever and ever. Amen.


That they may teach the young women to be wise, to love their husbands, to love their children,


Now the Spirit manifestly saith, that in the last times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to spirits of error, and doctrines of devils,


2 Let deacons be the husbands of one wife: who rule well their children, and their own houses.


And the peace of God, which surpasseth all understanding, keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.


3 But having the same spirit of faith, as it is written: I believed, for which cause I have spoken; we also believe, for which cause we speak also:

4 And this shall be a sign to thee, that shall come upon thy two sons, Ophni and Phinees: In one day they shall both of them die.


Thou shalt not go aside in the poor man's judgment.


1 If by any means I may attain to the resurrection which is from the dead.


5 For you have said : We have entered into a league with death, and we have made a covenant with hell. When the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come upon us: for we have placed our hope in lies, and by falsehood we are protected.


1 Therefore thus saith the Lord: Behold, I will bring destruction upon this people, by which fathers and sons together shall fall, neighbor and kinsman shall perish.


8 My sorrow is above sorrow, my heart mourneth within me.


6 For Israel hath gone astray like a wanton heifer: now will the Lord feed them, as a lamb in a spacious place.


2 And God said to Balaam : Thou shalt not go with them, nor shalt thou curse the people: because it is blessed.


5 And the children of Dan said to him: See thou say no more to us, lest men enraged come upon thee, and thou perish with all thy house.
