7 Arise, arise, stand up, O Jerusalem, which hast drunk at the hand of the Lord the cup of his wrath; thou hast drunk even to the bottom of the cup of dead sleep, and thou hast drunk even to the dregs.


4 And the soldiers also asked him, saying: And what shall we do? And he said to them: Do violence to no man; neither calumniate any man; and be content with your pay.


5 And another angel came out from the temple crying with a loud voice to him that sat upon the cloud: Thrust in thy sickle, and reap, because the hour is come to reap: for the harvest of the earth is ripe.


4 And Sion said: The Lord hath forsaken me, and the Lord hath forgotten me.


And I heard the angel of the waters saying: Thou art just, O Lord, who art, and who wast, the Holy One, because thou hast judged these things:


A long time therefore they abode there, dealing confidently in the Lord, who gave testimony to the word of his grace, granting signs and wonders to be done by their hands.


he hath converted my soul. He hath led me on the paths of justice, for his own name's sake.


8 Now she, at the same hour, coming in, confessed to the Lord; and spoke of him to all that looked for the redemption of Israel.


As smoke vanisheth, so let them vanish away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.


AND thou shalt say in that day: I will give thanks to thee, O Lord, for thou wast angry with me: thy wrath is turned away, and thou hast comforted me.


For he shall bring down them that dwell on high, the high city he shall lay low. He shall bring it down even to the ground, he shall pull it down even to the dust.


3 Who hath forwarded the spirit of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor, and hath taught him?


To whom have you likened me, and made me equal, and compared me, and made me like?


And he said: It is a small thing that thou shouldst be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to convert the dregs of Israel. Behold, I have given thee to be the light of the Gentiles, that thou mayst be my salvation even to the farthest part of the earth.


And the Gentiles shall walk in thy light, and kings in the brightness of thy rising.


For they that gather it, shall eat it, and shall praise the Lord: and they that bring it together, shall drink it in my holy courts.


3 He that led them out through the deep, as a horse in the wilderness that stumbleth not.


2 And I will take away sorceries out of thy hand, and there shall be no divinations in thee.


Now these were all circumcised. But the people that were born in the desert,


6 His strength is in his loins, and his force in the navel of his belly.


As birds dying, so will the Lord of hosts protect Jerusalem, protecting and delivering, passing over and saving.


1 Because only there our Lord is magnificent: it place of rivers, very broad and spacious streams: no ship with oars shall pass by it, neither shall the great galley pass through it.


And he shall give the ungodly for his burial, and the rich for his death: because he hath done no iniquity, neither was there deceit in his mouth.
