And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many peoples as a lion among the beasts of the forests, and as a young lion among the docks of sheep: who when he shall go through and tread down, and take, there is none to deliver.


Moab is destroyed: proclaim a cry for her little ones.


4 And they have not said in their heart: let us fear the Lord our God, who giveth us the early and the latter rain in due season: who preserveth for us the fullness of the yearly harvest.


Behold this man cometh, the rider upon the chariot with two horsemen, and he answered, and said: Babylon is fallen, she is fallen, and all the graven gods thereof are broken unto the ground.


Behold he shall neither slumber nor sleep, that keepeth Israel.


7 At her feet he fell: he fainted, and he died: he rolled before her feet, and he lay lifeless and wretched.


Thou shalt take up this parable against the king of Babylon, and shalt say: How is the oppressor come to nothing, the tribute hath ceased?


3 And there shall be month after month, and sabbath after sabbath: and all flesh shall come to adore before my face, saith the Lord.


1 How long shall I see men fleeing away, how long shall I hear the sound of the trumpet?


9 For thus saith the Lord God: When I shall make thee a desolate city like the cities that are not inhabited: and shall bring the deep upon thee, and many waters shall cover thee:


7 Thus saith the Lord God: Thou then art he, of whom I have spoken in the days of old, by my servants the prophets of Israel, who prophesied in the days of those times that I would bring thee upon them.


But they that are learned shall shine as the brightness of the firmament: and they that instruct many to justice, as stars for all eternity.
