3 And the word of the Lord came to me a second time, saying: What seest thou? I see a boiling caldron, and the face thereof from the face of the north.


4 And they glorified God in me.


0 Who hath formed a god, and made a graven thing that is profitable for nothing?


3 Give praise, O ye heavens, and rejoice, O earth, ye mountains, give praise with jubilation: because the Lord hath comforted his people, and will have mercy on his poor ones.


9 And Mary rising up in those days, went into the hill country with haste into a city of Juda.


Unto whom coming, as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen and made honourable by God:


3 And it came to pass, after the days of his office were accomplished, he departed to his own house.


Let your manners be without covetousness, contented with such things as you have; for he hath said: I will not leave thee, neither will I forsake thee.


(And Mary was she that anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair: whose brother Lazarus was sick.)


Her prophets are senseless men without faith: her priests have polluted the sanctuary, they have acted unjustly against the law.


7 For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver: and for wood brass, and for stones iron: and I will make thy visitation peace, and thy overseers justice.


Is not this rather the fast that I have chosen? loose the bands of wickedness, undo the bundles that oppress, let them that are broken go free, and break asunder every burden.


1 So shall my word be, which shall go forth from my mouth: it shall not return to me void, but it shall do whatsoever I please, and shall prosper in the things for which I sent it.


1 Who call a bird from the east, and from a far country the man of my own will, and I have spoken, and will bring it to pass: I have created, and I will do it.


For the sake of my servant Jacob, and Israel my elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have made a likeness of thee, and thou hast not known me.

3 And thou hast forgotten the Lord thy maker, who stretched out the heavens, and founded the earth: and thee hast been afraid continually all the day at the presence of his fury who afflicted thee, and had prepared himself to destroy thee: where is now the fury of the oppressor?


To whom have you likened me, and made me equal, and compared me, and made me like?


0 Thou that seest many things, wilt thou not observe them? thou that hast ears open, wilt thou not hear?


In whom I have taken thee from the ends of the earth, and from the remote parts thereof have called thee, and said to thee: Thou art my servant, I have chosen thee, and have not cast thee away.


4 And the Lord shall destroy out of Israel the head and the tail, him that bendeth down, and him that holdeth back, in one day.


And which came to him in the days of Joakim the son of Josias king of Juda, unto the end of the eleventh year of Sedecias the son of Josias king of Juda, even unto the carrying away of Jerusalem captive, in the fifth month.


2 And for the abundance of milk he shall eat butter: for butter and honey shall every one eat that shall be left in the midst of the land.


7 They have numbered all my bones. And they have looked and stared upon me.


You shall draw waters with joy out of the saviour's fountains:


3 fend the moon shall blush, and the sun shall be ashamed, when the Lord of hosts shall reign in mount Sion, and in Jerusalem, and shall be glorified in the sight of his ancients.


1 Because only there our Lord is magnificent: it place of rivers, very broad and spacious streams: no ship with oars shall pass by it, neither shall the great galley pass through it.


1 Thus saith the Lord the Holy One of Israel, his maker: Ask me of things to come, concerning my children, and concerning the work of my hands give ye charge to me.


0 The children of thy barrenness shall still say in thy ears: The place is too strait for me, make me room to dwell in.


All we like sheep have gone astray, every one hath turned aside into his own way: and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
