8 Remember not former things, and look not on things of old.


The Lord maketh poor and maketh rich, he humbleth and he exalteth.


0 Keep his precepts and commandments, which I command thee: that it may be well with thee, and thy children after thee, and thou mayst remain a long time upon the land, which the Lord thy God will give thee.


4 This is the law, that Moses set before the children of Israel,


8 But if I do, though you will not believe me, believe the works: that you may know and believe that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.


That was the true light, which enlighteneth every man that cometh into this world.


And they have cast lots upon my people: and the boy they have put in the stews, and the girl they have sold for wine, that they might drink.


4 He hath cut down cedars, taken the holm, and the oak that stood among the trees of the forest: he hath planted the pine tree, which the rain hath nourished.


8 I will break them, and they shall not be able to stand: they shall fall under my feet.


7 Thou shalt enlarge my steps under me: and my ankles shall not fail.


4 So Moses came and spoke all the words of this canticle in the ears of the people, and Josue the son of Nun.


Our redeemer, the Lord of hosts is his name, the Holy One of Israel.


I saw in my vision by night, and behold the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea.


3 The same hour the word was fulfilled upon Nabuchodonosor, and he was driven away from among men, and did eat grass like an ox, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven: till his hairs grew like the feathers of eagles, and his nails like birds' claws.


But if any man shall not fall down and adore, he shall the same hour be cast into a furnace of burning fire.


6 This is the dream: we will also tell the interpretation thereof before thee, O king.


5 They are vain things and a ridiculous work: in the time of their visitation they shall perish.


3 My hand also hath founded the earth, and my right hand hath measured the heavens: I shall call them, and they shall stand together.


0 Who hath formed a god, and made a graven thing that is profitable for nothing?


0 The beast of the field shall glorify me, the dragons and the ostriches: because I have given waters in the wilderness, rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, to my chosen.


7 They are turned back: let them be greatly confounded, that trust in a graven thing, that say to a molten thing: You are our god.


For thus saith the Lord to me: Like as the lion roareth, and the lion's whelp upon his prey, and when a multitude of shepherds shall come against him, he will not fear at their voice, nor be afraid of their multitude: so shall the Lord of hosts come down to fight upon mount Sion, and upon the hill thereof.


7 And twenty cups of gold, of a thousand solids, and two vessels of the best shining brass, beautiful as gold.


And king Cyrus brought forth the vessels of the temple of the Lord, which Nabuchodonosor had taken from Jerusalem, and had put them in the temple of his god.


6 The Lord will judge his people, and will have mercy on his servants : he shall see that their hand is weakened, and that they who were shut up have also failed, and they that remained are consumed.


But the Lord's portion is his people: Jacob the lot of his inheritance.


0 And he blessed them at that time, saying: In thee shall Israel be blessed, and it shall be said: God do to thee as to Ephraim, and as to Manasses. And he set Ephraim before Manasses.


I will go down with thee thither, and will bring thee back again from thence: Joseph also shall put his hands upon thy eyes.


My little children, these things I write to you, that you may not sin. But if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the just:


0 And they indeed for a few days, according to their own pleasure, instructed us: but he, for our profit, that we might receive his sanctification.


3 And when they had ordained to them priests in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, in whom they believed.


6 Men, brethren, the scripture must needs be fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost spoke before by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who was the leader of them that apprehended Jesus:


8 And the sea arose, by reason of a great wind that blew.


7 Shew me a token for good: that they who hate me may see, and be confounded, because thou, O Lord, hast helped me and hast comforted me.


For thus saith the Lord to me: I will take my rest, and consider in my place, as the noon light is clear, and as a cloud of dew in the day of harvest.


2 Lord, thou wilt give us peace: for thou hast wrought all our works for us.


He shall not cry, nor have respect to person, neither shall his voice be heard abroad.


9 Behold I do new things, and now they shall spring forth, verily you shall know them: I will make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.


They are consumed, and are broken together: they could not save him that carried them, and they themselves shall go into captivity.


1 For my own sake, for my own sake will I do it, that I may not be blasphemed: and I will not give my glory to another.


9 And thou hast girded me with strength unto battle; and hast subdued under me them that rose up against me.


7 Who brought forth the chariot and the horse, the army and the strong: they lay down to sleep together, and they shall not rise again: they are broken as flax, and are extinct.
