The Holy Ghost signifying this, that the way into the holies was not yet made manifest, whilst the former tabernacle was yet standing.


6 For if we sin wilfully after having the knowledge of the truth, there is now left no sacrifice for sins,


At that time the army of the king o Babylon besieged Jerusalem: and Jeremias the prophet was shut up in the court of the prison, which was in the house of the king of Juda.


6 And I will restore thy judges se they were before, and thy counsellors as of old. After this thou shalt be called the city of the just, a faithful city.


I will go before thee, and will humble the great ones of the earth: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and will burst the bars of iron.


4 The Lord is a firmament to them that fear him: and his covenant shall be made manifest to them.


Then Isaias the prophet came to king Ezechias, and said to him: What said these men, and from whence came they to thee? And Ezechias said: From a far country they came to me, from Babylon


AND as they were speaking to the people, the priests, and the officer of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,


For he that is dead is justified from sin.


5 And it came to pass, that as he sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat down together with Jesus and his disciples. For they were many, who also followed him.


9 Behold I do new things, and now they shall spring forth, verily you shall know them: I will make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.


8 See my abjection and my labour; and forgive me all my sins.


6 For if thou hadst desired sacrifice, I would indeed have given it: with burnt offerings thou wilt not be delighted.


8 The voice of them that flee, and of them that have escaped out of the land of Babylon: to declare in Sion the revenge of the Lord our God, the revenge of his temple.


0 And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the held, that you bear no more the reproach of famine among the nations.


2 But I turned away my hand, and wrought for my name's sake, that it might not be violated before the nations, out of which I brought them forth in their sight.


7 Yet my eye spared them, so that I destroyed them not: neither did I consume them in the desert.


Go and say to Ezechias: Thus saith the Lord the God of David thy father: I have heard thy prayer, and I have seen thy tears: behold I will add to thy days fifteen years:


And he led me about through them on every side: now they were very many upon the face of the plain, and they were exceeding dry.


0 Wherefore say to the house of Israel: Thus saith the Lord God: Verily, you are defiled in the way of your fathers, and you commit fornication with their abominations.


5 Wherefore I also, hearing of your faith that is in the Lord Jesus, and of your love towards all the saints,


7 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and of revelation, in the knowledge of him:


9 And Levi made him a great feast in his own house; and there was a great company of publicans, and of others, that were at table with them.


6 If the heavens be shut up, and there fall no rain by reason of the sine of the people, and they shall pray to thee in this place, and confess to thy name, and be converted from their sins, when thou dost afflict them,


9 The Lord hath prepared his throne in heaven: and his kingdom shall rule over all.


9 And thy seed had been as the sand, and the offspring of thy bowels like the gravel thereof: his name should not have perished, nor have been destroyed from before my face.


Blessed is the man that doth this, and the son of man that shall lay hold on this: that keepeth the sabbath from profaning it, that keepeth his hands from doing any evil.


That say: Depart from me, come not near me, because thou art unclean: these shall be smoke in my anger, a fire burning all the day.


0 Therefore will I judge every man according to his ways, O house of Israel, saith the Lord God. Be converted, and do penance for all your iniquities: and iniquity shall not be your ruin.


4 Son of man, they that dwell in these ruinous places in the land of Israel, speak, saying: Abraham was one, and he inherited the land, but we are many, the land is given us in possession.


0 Create a clean heart in me, O God: and renew a right spirit within my bowels.


1 Cast me not away from thy face; and take not thy holy spirit from me.


0 He hath not dealt with us according to our sins: nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.


That dwell in sepulchres, and sleep in the temple of idols: that eat swine's flesh, and profane broth is in their vessels.
