0 Youths shall faint, and labour, and young men shall fall by infirmity.


0 Assemble yourselves, and come, and draw near together, ye that are saved of the Gentiles: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven work, and pray to a god that cannot save.


And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.


0 My tabernacle is laid waste, all my cords are broken: my children are gone out from me, and they are not: there is none to stretch forth my tent any more, and to set up my curtains.


1 They thirsted not in the desert, when he led them out: he brought forth water out of the rock for them, and he clove the rock, and the waters gushed out.


For the sake of my servant Jacob, and Israel my elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have made a likeness of thee, and thou hast not known me.


5 And sayest thou to me, O Lord God: Buy a field for money, and take witnesses, whereas the city is given into the hands of the Chaldeans?


BEL is broken, Nebo is destroyed: their idols are put upon beasts and cattle, your burdens of heavy weight even unto weariness.


3 The Lord hath looked from heaven: he hath beheld all the sons of men.


0 Because he hath found complaints against me, therefore he hath counted me for his enemy.


3 So Paul went out from among them.


5 If he withhold the waters, all things shall be dried up: and if he send them out, they shall overturn the earth.


0 He hath chosen strong wood, and that will not rot: the skilful workman seeketh how he may set up an idol that may not be moved.

For what is the hope of the hypocrite if through covetousness he take by violence, and God deliver not his soul?

Why have we fasted, and thou hast not regarded: have we humbled our souls, and thou hast not taken notice? Behold in the day of your fast your own will is found, and you exact of all your debtors.


3 Why will you die, thou and thy people by the sword, and by famine, and by the pestilence, as the Lord hath spoken against the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?


4 Then Sedecias said to Jeremias: Let no man know these words, and thou shalt not die.


2 That grieveth the needy and the poor, that taketh away by violence, that restoreth not the pledge, and that lifteth up his eyes to idols, that committeth abomination:


2 the fields and all things that are in them shall be joyful. Then shall all the trees of the woods rejoice
