8 The archer shall not put him to flight, the stones of the sling are to him like stubble.


9 You know, my dearest brethren. And let every man be swift to hear, but slow to speak, and slow to anger.


0 For the anger of man worketh not the justice of God.


4 Fear seized upon me, and trembling, and all my bones were affrighted:


A tree hath hope: if it be cut, it groweth green again, and the boughs thereof sprout.


2 can number thy wrath? So make thy right hand known: and men learned in heart, in wisdom.


3 Return, O Lord, how long? and be entreated in favour of thy servants.


1 My days have declined like a shadow, and I am withered like grass.


For David himself. Bless the Lord, O my soul: O Lord my God, thou art exceedingly great. Thou hast put on praise and beauty:


2 And he shall set up a standard unto the nations, and shall assemble the fugitives of Israel, and shall gather together the dispersed of Juda from the four quarters of the earth.


5 And I will protect this city, and will save it for my own sake, and for the sake of David my servant.


LET the islands keep silence before me, and the nations take new strength: let them come near, and then speak, let us come near to judgment together.


0 Thy children are cast forth, they have slept at the head of all the ways, as the wild ox that is snared: full of the indignation of the Lord, of the rebuke of thy God.


Speak to Zorobabel the son of Salathiel the governor of Juda, and to Jesus the son of Josedec the high priest, and to the rest of the people, saying:


2 Bless the Lord, all his works: in every place of his dominion, O my soul, bless thou the Lord.
