4 Behold, you are of nothing, and your work of that which hath no being: he that hath chosen you is an abomination.


7 Who seek to make my people forget my name through their dreams, which they tell every man to his neighbor: as their fathers forgot my name for Baal.


At that time shall a present be brought to the Lord of hosts, from a people rent and torn in pieces: from a terrible people, after which there hath been no other: from a nation expecting, expecting and trodden under foot, whose land the rivers have spoiled, to the place of the name of the Lord of hosts, to mount Sion.


And they shall be as mighty men, treading under foot the mire of the ways in battle: and they shall fight, because the Lord is with them, and the riders of horses shall be confounded.


And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God in truth and in justice.


Speak to Zorobabel the son of Salathiel the governor of Juda, and to Jesus the son of Josedec the high priest, and to the rest of the people, saying:


And the soldier is led away captive: and her bondwomen were led away mourning as doves, murmuring in their hearts.


They shall be converted that sit under his shadow: they shall live upon wheat, and they shall blossom as a vine: his memorial shall be as the wine of Libanus.


1 I will give thee a king in my wrath, and will take him away in my indignation.


But the Lord liveth, who hath brought out, and brought hither the seed of the house of Israel from the land of the north, and out of all the lands, to which I had cast them forth: and they shall dwell in their own land.


5 Behold the Gentiles are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the smallest grain of a balance: behold the islands are as a little dust.


5 And Ezechias prayed to the Lord, saying:


For before the harvest it was all flourishing, and it shall bud without perfect ripeness, and the sprigs thereof shall be cut off with pruning hooks: and what is left shall be cut away and shaken out.


2 And he shall set up a standard unto the nations, and shall assemble the fugitives of Israel, and shall gather together the dispersed of Juda from the four quarters of the earth.


My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and wilt hide my commandments with thee,


Rise up thou to meet me, and behold: even thou, O Lord, the God of hosts, the God of Israel. Attend to visit all the nations: have no mercy on all them that work iniquity.


3 One man dieth strong, and hale, rich and happy.


4 Fear seized upon me, and trembling, and all my bones were affrighted:


6 And he said to him: Come with me, and see my zeal for the Lord. So he made him ride in his chariot,


1 The Lord will reward me according to my justice: and according to the cleanness of my hands he will render to me.


And the Assyrian shall fall by the sword not of a man, and the sword not of a man shall devour him, and he shall flee not at the face of the sword: and his young men shall be tributaries.


my soul longeth and fainteth for the courts of the Lord. My heart and my flesh have rejoiced in the living God.


0 Fear not, for I am with thee: turn not aside, for I am thy God: I have strengthened thee, and have helped thee, and the right hand of my just one hath upheld thee.


2 They that hate thee, shall be clothed with confusion: and the dwelling of the wicked shall not stand.
