3 Thy eyes are too pure to behold evil, and thou canst not look on iniquity. Why lookest thou upon them that do unjust things, and holdest thy peace when the wicked devoureth the man that is more just than himself?


9 This also is come forth from the Lord God of hosts, to make his counsel wonderful, and magnify justice.


5 For behold I have made thee a little one among the nations, despicable among men.


2 In like manner also a Levite, when he was near the place and saw him, passed by.


6 For as you have drunk upon my holy mountain, so all nations shall drink continually: and they shall drink, and sup up, and they shall be as though they were not.


8 For he woundeth, and cureth: he striketh, and his hands shall heal.


Therefore judge not before the time; until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts; and then shall every man have praise from God.


Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness, and patience, and longsuffering? Knowest thou not, that the benignity of God leadeth thee to penance?


1 The princes of Tanis are become fools, the wise counsellors of Pharao have given foolish counsel: how will you say to Pharao: I am the son of the wise, the son of ancient kings?


0 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and they that shall escape of the house of Jacob, shall lean no more upon him that striketh them: but they shall lean upon the Lord the Holy One of Israel, in truth.


I am the Lord, and there is none else: there is no God, besides me: I girded thee, and thou hast not known me:


And we are all become as one unclean, and all our justices as the rag of a menstruous woman: and we have all fallen as a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.


5 And you shall leave your name for an execration to my elect: and the Lord God shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name.


2 He discovereth deep things out of darkness, and bringeth up to light the shadow of death.


5 Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold I will bring in upon this city, and upon all the cities thereof all the evils that I have spoken against it: because they have hardened their necks, and they might not hear my words.
