1 How is Sesach taken, and the renowned one of all the earth surprised? How is Babylon become an astonishment among the nations?

Ephraim himself is mixed among the nations: Ephraim is become as bread baked under the ashes, that is not turned.


He hath decked it with silver and gold: he hath put it together with nails and hammers, that it may not fall asunder.


For before the harvest it was all flourishing, and it shall bud without perfect ripeness, and the sprigs thereof shall be cut off with pruning hooks: and what is left shall be cut away and shaken out.


3 But to Caleb the son of Jephone he gave a portion in the midst of the children of Juda, as the Lord had commanded him: Cariath-Arbe the father of Enac. which is Hebron.


1 And their cities were, Jericho and Bethhagla and Vale-Casis,


Evil men think not on judgment: but they that seek after the Lord, take notice of all things.
