Baltasar the king made a great feast for a thousand of his nobles: and every one drank according to his age.


4 And the Lord rained upon Sodom and Gomorrha brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven.


She hath not hearkened to the voice, neither hath she received discipline: she hath not trusted in the Lord, she drew not near to her God.


Seek ye the Lord, and live: lest the house of Joseph be burnt with fire, and it shall devour, and there shall be none to quench Bethel.


9 And as Babylon caused that there should fall slain in Israel: so of Babylon there shall fall slain in all the earth.


And I will send to Babylon fanners, and they shall fan her, and shall destroy her land: for they are come upon her on every side in the day of her affliction.


6 Therefore her young men shall fall in her streets: and all the men of war shall be silent in that day, saith the Lord of hosts.


8 And he hath cast them out of their land, in anger and in wrath, and in very great indignation, and hath thrown them into a strange land, as it is seen this day.


For the end of the law is Christ, unto justice to every one that believeth.


0 Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath judged your judgment on her.


And the four and twenty ancients, and the four living creatures fell down and adored God that sitteth upon the throne, saying: Amen; Alleluia.


5 And he destroyed these cities, and all the country about, all the inhabitants of the cities, and all things that spring from the earth.


Behold, the day of the Lord shall come, a cruel day, and full of indignation, and of wrath, and fury, to lay the land desolate, and to destroy the sinners thereof out of it.


7 And the residue of the number of strong archers of the children of Cedar shall be diminished: for the Lord the God of Israel hath spoken it.


3 Thou hast failed in the multitude or thy counsels: let now the astrologers stand and save thee, they that gazed at the stars, and counted the months, that from them they might tell the things that shall come to thee.


2 There is no peace to the wicked, saith the Lord.


0 And all in general: all the kings of the land of Ausitis, and all the kings of the land of the Philistines, and Ascalon, and Gaza, and Accaron, and the remnant of Azotus.


4 Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon hath eaten me up, he hath devoured me: he hath made me as an empty vessel: he hath swallowed me up like a dragon, he hath filled his belly with my delicate meats, and he hath cast me out.


7 And Babylon shall be reduced to heaps, a dwelling place for dragons, an astonishment and a hissing, because there is no inhabitant.


And in the fourth month, the ninth day of the month, a famine overpowered the city: and there was no food for the people of the land.
