0 Thou wilt perform the truth of Jacob, the mercy to Abraham: which thou hast sworn to our fathers from the days of old.


4 For who hath known the mind of the Lord? Or who hath been his counsellor?


8 He shall come into Aiath, he shall pass into Magron: at Machmas he shall lay up his carriages.


He is like Chanaan, there is a deceitful balance in his hand, he hath loved oppression.


And which came to him in the days of Joakim the son of Josias king of Juda, unto the end of the eleventh year of Sedecias the son of Josias king of Juda, even unto the carrying away of Jerusalem captive, in the fifth month.


2 They shall give glory to the Lord, and shall declare his praise in the islands.

6 And they that eat bread with him, shall destroy him, and his army shall be overthrown: and many shall fall down slain.

3 And the slain of the Lord shall be at that day from one end of the earth even to the other end thereof: they shall not be lamented, and they shall not be gathered up, nor buried: they shall lie as dung upon the face of the earth.


2 Be converted to me, and you shall be saved, all ye ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is no other.


0 Thou that seest many things, wilt thou not observe them? thou that hast ears open, wilt thou not hear?


8 Hear, ye deaf, and, ye blind, behold that you may see.


Upon the dark mountain lift ye up a banner, exalt the voice, lift up the hand, and let the rulers go into the gates.


9 From thy temple in Jerusalem, kings shall offer presents to thee.

7 Learn to do well: seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge for the fatherless, defend the widow.


So shall the king of the Assyrians lead away the prisoners of Egypt, and the captivity of Ethiopia, young and old. naked and barefoot, with their buttocks uncovered to the shame of Egypt.


And they shall be afraid, and ashamed of Ethiopia their hope, and of Egypt their glory.


IN those days Ezechias was sick even to death, and Isaias the son of Amos the prophet came unto him, and said to him: Thus saith the Lord: Take order with thy house, for thou shalt die, and not live.


And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:


2 Because I have spread my terror in the land of the living, and he hath slept in the midst of the uncircumcised with them that are slain by the sword: Pharao and all his multitude, saith the Lord God.


6 And thou shalt come upon my people of Israel like a cloud, to cover the earth. Thou shalt be in the latter days, and I will bring thee upon my land: that the nations may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.


0 And the prince of the eunuchs said to Daniel: I fear my lord the king, who hath appointed you meat and drink: who if he should see your faces leaner than those of the other youths your equals, you shall endanger my head to the king.


3 And the name of the second river is Gehon: the same is it that compasseth all the land of Ethiopia


And returning from the mount, I came down, and put the tables into the ark, that I had made, and they are there till this present, as the Lord commanded me.


9 And every nation made gods of their own, and put them in the temples of the high places, which the Samaritans had made, every nation in their cities where they dwelt.


0 O my thrashing and the children of my door, that which I have heard of the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, I have declared unto you.


4 And the voice of the Lord of hosts was revealed in my ears: Surely this iniquity shall not be forgiven you till you die, saith the Lord God of hosts.


0 The children of thy barrenness shall still say in thy ears: The place is too strait for me, make me room to dwell in.


Therefore turn thou to thy God : keep mercy and judgment, and hope in thy God always.


5 And I had no mercy: so turning again I have thought in these days to do good to the house of Juda, and Jerusalem: fear not.
