12 0 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and they that shall escape of the house of Jacob, shall lean no more upon him that striketh them: but they shall lean upon the Lord the Holy One of Israel, in truth.

6 And Sennacherib king of the Assyrians departing went away, and he re- turned and abode in Ninive.


6 Come ye against her from the uttermost borders: open that they may go forth that shall tread her down: take the stones out of the way, and make heaps, and destroy her: and let nothing of her be left.


5 And you shall leave your name for an execration to my elect: and the Lord God shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name.


Casting all your care upon him, for he hath care of you.


7 But she said: Yea, Lord; for the whelps also eat of the crumbs that fall from the table of their masters.


1 The men of Ninive shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they did penance at the preaching of Jonas. And behold a greater than Jonas here.


Then came in all the king's wise men, but they could neither read the writing, nor declare the interpretation to the king.


And I will throw thee out on the land, I will cast thee away into the open field: and I will cause all the fowls of the air to dwell upon thee, and I will fill the beasts of all the earth with thee.


8 To whom art thou like, O thou that art famous and lofty among the trees of pleasure? Behold, thou art brought down with the trees of pleasure to the lowest parts of the earth: thou shalt sleep in the midst of the uncircumcised, with them that are slain by the sword: this is Pharao, and all his multitude, saith the Lord God.


For the worm shall eat them up as a garment: and the moth shall consume them as wool: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my justice from generation to generation,


And the fading flower the glory of his joy, who is on the head of the fat valley, shall be as a hasty fruit before the ripeness of autumn: which when he that seeth it shall behold, as soon as he taketh it in his hand, he will eat it up.


7 Therefore the Lord shell have no joy in their young men: neither shall he have mercy on their fatherless, and widows: for every one is a hypocrite and wicked, and every mouth hath spoken folly. For all this his indignation is not turned away, but his bend is stretched out still.


3 That justify the wicked for gifts, and take away the justice of the just from him.


9 And they shall go into the holes of rocks, and into the caves of the earth from the face of the fear of the Lord, and from the glory of his majesty, when he shall rise up to strike the earth.


0 Such is also the way of an adulterous woman, who eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith: I have done no evil.


I thought upon the days of old: and I had in my mind the eternal years.


In thee have our fathers hoped: they have hoped, and thou hast delivered them.


4 Who teacheth my hands to war: and thou hast made my arms like a brazen bow.


2 even to him who taketh away the spirit of princes: to the terrible with the kings of the earth.


And the Lord of hosts shall make unto all people in this mountain, a feast of fat things, a feast of wine, of fat things full of marrow, of wine purified from the lees.


Behold the Lord is mighty and strong, as a storm of hail: a destroying whirlwind, as the violence of many waters overflowing, and sent forth upon a spacious land.


2 Therefore thus saith the Lord to the house of Jacob, he that redeemed Abraham: Jacob shall not now be confounded, neither shall his countenance now be ashamed:


The land hath mourned, and languished: Libanus is confounded and become foul, and Saron is become as a desert: and Basan and Carmel are shaken.


1 And that which shall be saved of the house of Juda, and which is left, shall take root downward, and shall bear fruit upward :


7 And Sennacherib the king of the Assyrians went out and departed, and returned, and dwelt in Ninive.


7 And the fields of peace have been silent, because of the fierce anger of the Lord.


0 As the Lord overthrew Sodom and Gomorrha, and their neighbour cities, saith the Lord: no man shall dwell there, neither shall the son of man inhabit it.


Said to Moses: Take all the princes of the people, and hang them up on gibbets against the sun: that my fury may be turned away from Israel.
