4 If a man borrow of his neighbour any of these things, and it be hurt or die, the owner not being present, he shall be obliged to make restitution.

3 Swear therefore by God, that thou wilt not hurt me, nor my posterity, nor my stock: but according to the kindness that I have done to thee, thou shalt do to me, and to the land wherein thou hast lived a stranger.


2 And he answered him: I lift up my hand to the Lord God the most high, the possessor of heaven and earth,


And the king spared Miphiboseth the son of Jonathan the son of Saul, because of the oath of the Lord, that had been between David and Jonathan the son of Saul.


4 Wherefore the law was our pedagogue in Christ, that we might be justified by faith.


4 And Abraham said: I will swear.
