He, when he had seen Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked to receive an alms.


8 But when that servant was gone out, he found one of his fellow servants that owed him an hundred pence: and laying hold of him, throttled him, saying: Pay what thou owest.


For we, who have believed, shall enter into rest; as he said: As I have sworn in my wrath; If they shall enter into my rest; and this indeed when the works from the foundation of the world were finished.


3 And on the one hand indeed, by reproaches and tribulations, were made a gazingstock; and on the other, became companions of them that were used in such sort.


3 For them that are without, God will judge. Put away the evil one from among yourselves.


For God hath not appointed us unto wrath, but unto the purchasing of salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,


Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and inhabitants of Mesopotamia, Judea, and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,


5 And sailing thence, the day following we came over against Chios; and the next day we arrived at Samos; and the day following we came to Miletus.


2 So you also, forasmuch as you are zealous of spirits, seek to abound unto the edifying of the church.


6 Being of one mind one towards another. Not minding high things, but consenting to the humble. Be not wise in your own conceits.


4 Nevertheless you have done well in communicating to my tribulation.


8 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and unto the day of eternity. Amen.


7 Elias was a man passible like unto us: and with prayer he prayed that it might not rain upon the earth, and it rained not for three years and six months.


2 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.


Blessed is he, that readeth and heareth the words of this prophecy; and keepeth those things which are written in it; for the time is at hand.


And this is the declaration which we have heard from him, and declare unto you: That God is light, and in him there is no darkness.


6 But if as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in that name.


For the life was manifested; and we have seen and do bear witness, and declare unto you the life eternal, which was with the Father, and hath appeared to us:


9 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh judgment to himself, not discerning the body of the Lord.


2 For all things are yours, whether it be Paul, or Apollo, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to some; for all are yours;


4 Who having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks.


3 And when they shall persecute you in this city, flee into another. Amen I say to you, you shall not finish all the cities of Israel, till the Son of man come.


He cometh therefore to Simon Peter. And Peter saith to him: Lord, dost thou wash my feet?


By faith Noe, having received an answer concerning those things which as yet were not seen, moved with fear, framed the ark for the saving of his house, by the which he condemned the world; and was instituted heir of the justice which is by faith.


But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea, which is moved and carried about by the wind.
