3 Behold the sovereign Lord of hosts shall break the earthen vessel with terror, and the tall of stature shall be cut down, and the lofty shall be humbled.


7 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, nor suffer thy Holy One to see corruption.


Thus saith the Lord: For three crimes of Damascus, and for four I will not convert it: because they have thrashed Galaad with iron wains.


WOE to you, apostate children, saith the Lord, that you would take counsel, and not of me: and would begin a web, and not by my spirit, that you might add sin upon sill:


By faith Noe, having received an answer concerning those things which as yet were not seen, moved with fear, framed the ark for the saving of his house, by the which he condemned the world; and was instituted heir of the justice which is by faith.


Thou shalt fall upon the face of the field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord God.


1 How is Sesach taken, and the renowned one of all the earth surprised? How is Babylon become an astonishment among the nations?


2 The nobles thereof shall not be there: they shall call rather upon the king, and all the princes thereof shall be nothing.


7 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken in pieces; but the Lord strengtheneth the just.


8 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest render reward to thy servants the prophets and the saints, and to them that fear thy name, little and great, and shouldest destroy them who have corrupted the earth.


1 If he come to me, I shall not see him: if he depart I shall not understand.


4 And he sent forth his arrows, and he scattered them: he multiplied lightnings, and troubled them.


And the people shall rush one upon another, and every man against his neighbour: the child shall make it tumult against the ancient, and the base against the honourable.


1 But wild beasts shall rest there, and their houses shall be filled with serpents, and ostriches shall dwell there, and the hairy ones shall dance there:


2 As the stars of heaven cannot be numbered, nor the sand of the sea be measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites my ministers.


Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou and all thy bands, and thy nations that are with thee: I have given thee to the wild beasts, to the birds, and to every fowl, and to the beasts of the earth to be devoured.
