2 I will assemble and gather together all of thee, O Jacob: I will bring together the remnant of Israel, I will put them together as a flock in the fold, as the sheep in the midst of the sheepcotes, they shall make a tumult by reason of the multitude of men.


1 Go up against the land of the rulers, and punish the inhabitants thereof, waste, and destroy all behind them, saith the Lord: and do according to all that I have commanded thee.


0 And the word of the Lord came to Jeremias, saying:


2 He answered him: Call I speak any thing else but what the Lord commandeth?


6 But if as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in that name.


8 Now if God clothe in this manner the grass that is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more you, O ye of little faith?

Shall not all these take up a parable against him, and a dark speech concerning him: and it shall be said: Woe to him that heapeth together that which is not his own? how long also doth he load himself with thick clay?


9 There is Edom, and her kings, and all her princes, who with their army are joined with them that are slain by the sword: and have slept with the uncircumcised, and with them that go down into the pit.


0 And as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and return no more thither, but soak the earth, and water it, and make it to spring, and give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:


8 Who say to Cyrus: Thou art my shepherd, and thou shalt perform all my pleasure. Who say to Jerusalem: Thou shalt be built: and to the temple: Thy foundations shall be laid.


3 Because the Lord will judge his cause, and will afflict them that have afflicted his soul.


0 He that chastiseth nations, shall he not rebuke: he that teacheth man knowledge?


3 There is no soothsaying in Jacob, nor divination in Israel. In their times it shall be told to Jacob and to Israel what God hath wrought.


1 The remnant shall be converted, the remnant, I say, of Jacob, to the mighty God.


0 But the Lord is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him.


6 And the Lord of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and the holy God shall be sanctified in justice.


9 Thus saith the Lord to me: Go, and stand in the gate of the children of the people, by which the kings of Juda come in, and go out, and in all the gates of Jerusalem:
