9 Because thy servant hath found grace before thee, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewn to me, in saving my life, and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil seize me, and I die :


And being consummated, he became, to all that obey him, the cause of eternal salvation.


8 And Mary said: Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it done to me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.


Thou wilt turn, O God, and bring us to life: and thy people shall rejoice in thee.


Not by the works of justice, which we have done, but according to his mercy, he saved us, by the laver of regeneration, and renovation of the Holy Ghost;


9 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.


1 My son, reject not the correction of the Lord: and do not faint when thou art chastised by him:


who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all things that are in them.


2 And might be the father of circumcision; not to them only, that are of the circumcision, but to them also that follow the steps of the faithful, that is in the uncircumcision of our father Abraham.


4 Now hearing these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed with their teeth at him.


Better is the poor man that provideth for himself, than he that is glorious and wanteth bread.


4 Having eyes full of adultery and of sin that ceaseth not: alluring unstable souls, having their heart exercised with covetousness, children of malediction:


Forsake childishness, and live, and walk by the ways of prudence.


0 Hear the word of the Lord, O ye nations, and declare it in the islands that are afar off, and say: He that scattered Israel will gather him: and he will keep him as the shepherd doth his flock.


Wherein I labour even unto bands, as an evildoer; but the word of God is not bound.


4 And they glorified God in me.


4 If, by any means, I may provoke to emulation them who are my flesh, and may save some of them.


Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy, a brother: to Philemon, our beloved and fellow labourer;


5 Who, thinkest thou, is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath appointed over his family, to give them meat in season.


4 I say to you: in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.


But the end of all is at hand. Be prudent therefore, and watch in prayers.


2 Yet there shall be left in it some that shall be saved, who shall bring away their sons and daughters: behold they shall come among you, and you shall see their way, and their doings: and you shall be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, in all things that I have brought upon it.
