And he knew them, he spoke as it were to strangers somewhat roughly, asking them: Whence came you? They answered: From the land of Chanaan, to buy necessaries of life.


0 Finally, brethren, be strengthened in the Lord, and in the might of his power.


One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth standeth for ever.


2 And a certain man came from Baalsalisa bringing to the man of God bread of the firstfruits, twenty leaves of barley, and new corn in his scrip. And he said: Give to the people, that they may eat.


4 And now as the Lord liveth, who hath established me, and placed me upon the throne of David my father, and who hath made me a house, as he promised, Adonias shall be put to death this day.


7 Keep all my precepts, and all my judgments, and do them. I am the Lord.


And shall bear his iniquity, because he hath defiled the holy thing of the Lord, and that soul shall perish from among his people.


1 Observe all things which this day I command thee: I myself will drive out before thy face the Amorrhite, and the Chanaanite, and the Hethite, and the Pherezite, and the Hevite, and the Jebusite.


Then Esau ran to meet his brother, and embraced him: and clasping him fast about the neck, and kissing him, wept.


Abraham rose up, and bowed down to the people of the land, to wit the children of Heth:


And the two angels came to Sodom ii in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gate of the city. And seeing them, he rose up and went to meet them: and worshipped prostrate to the ground,


And when he had lifted up his eyes, there appeared to him three men standing near him: and as soon as he saw them he ran to meet them from the door of his tent, and adored down to the ground.


2 And when Joseph had taken them from his father's lap, he bowed down with his face to the ground.


4 But he stretching forth his right hand, put it upon the head of Ephraim the younger brother; and the left upon the head of Manasses who was the elder, changing his hands.
