2 Behold, your eyes, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin see that it is my mouth that speaketh to you.


7 Let the priests that rule well, be esteemed worthy of double honour: especially they who labour in the word and doctrine:


3 And withal being idle they learn to go about from house to house: and are not only idle, but tattlers also, and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.


An ancient man rebuke not, but entreat him as a father: young men, as brethren:


6 Prohibiting us to speak to the Gentiles, that they may be saved, to fill up their sins always: for the wrath of God is come upon them to the end.

5 And they answered: Our life is in thy hand: only let my lord look favourably upon us, and we will gladly serve the king.


2 Except the land of the priests, which had been given them by the king: to whom also a certain allowance of food was given out of the public stores, and therefore they were not forced to sell their possessions.


Five men also the last of his brethren, he presented before the king:


3 And he saw the children of Ephraim to the third generation. The children also of Machir the son of Ma-nasses were born on Joseph's knees.


Not by your counsel was I sent hither, but by the will of God: who hath made me as it were a father to Pharao, and lord of his whold house, and governor in all the land of Egypt.


1 And there I will feed thee, (for there are yet five years of famine remaining,) lest both thou perish, and thy house, and all things that thou hast.


Is not this your city, which gloried from of old in her antiquity? her feet shall carry her afar off to sojourn.
