Neither is there any thing which is hot in my power, or that he hath not delivered to me, but thee, who art his wife : how then can I do this wicked thing, and I sin against my God?


0 For what glory is it, if committing sin, and being buffeted for it, you endure? But if doing well you suffer patiently; this is thankworthy before God.


Having an appearance indeed of godliness, but denying the power thereof. Now these avoid.


We are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you towards each other, aboundeth:


2 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption, it shall rise in incorruption.


For I would that all men were even as myself: but every one hath his proper gift from God; one after this manner, and another after that.


4 And thou shalt be as one sleeping in the midst of the sea, and as a pilot fast asleep, when the stern is lost.


1 That I might shew thee the certainty, and the words of truth, to answer out of these to them that sent thee.


2 Now abroad, now in the streets, now lying in wait near the corners.


5 Drink water out of thy own cistern, and the streams of thy own well:


0 Lest strangers be filled with thy strength, and thy labours be in another man's house,


My son, forget not my law, and let thy heart keep my commandments.


2 O children, how long will you love childishness, and fools covet those things which are hurtful to themselves, and the unwise hate knowledge?


He that gathered in the harvest is a wise son: but he that snorteth in the summer, is the son of confusion.


The Lord will not afflict the soul of the just with famine, and he will disappoint the deceitful practices of the wicked.


0 He took with him a bag of money: he mill return home the day of the full moon.


3 Do not still drink water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake, and thy frequent infirmities.


0 With such words as these day by day, both the woman was importunate with the young man, and he refused the adultery.


2 And she catching the skirt of his garment, said: Lie with me. But he leaving the garment in her hand, fled, and went out.


5 And thou shalt say: They have beaten me, but I was not sensible of pain: they drew me, and I felt not: when shall I awake, and find wine again?
