0 By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, till thou be increased, and dost possess the land.

2 And the people said to Samuel: Who is he that said: Shall Saul reign over us? Bring the men and we will kill them.

And when they were departed, the terror of God fell upon all the cities round about, and they durst not pursue after them as they went away.


0 And Sehon the king of Hesebon would not let us pass: because the Lord thy God had hardened his spirit, and fixed his heart, that he might be delivered into thy hands, as now thou seest.


1 He made him master of his house, and ruler of all his possession.


And many days shall pass in Israel without the true God, and without a priest a teacher, and without the law.
