9 I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I have not said to the seed of Jacob: Seek me in vain. I am the Lord that speak justice, that declare right things.


2 Let them come, and tell us all things that are to come: tell us the former things what they were: and we will set our heart upon them, and shall know the latter end of them, and tell us the things that are to come.


And Jacob lifting up his eyes, saw Esau coming, and with him four hundred men: and he divided the children of Lia, and of Rachel, and of the two handmaids:


2 Make haste and be saved there, because I cannot do any thing till thou go in thither. Therefore the name of that city was called Segor.


2 Then Jesus saith to him: Put up again thy sword into its place: for all that take the sword shall perish with the sword.


5 And when he saw that he could not overcome him, he touched the sinew of his thigh, and forthwith it shrank.


7 And he said: What is thy name? He answered: Jacob.
