2 Unless the God of my father Abraham, and the fear of Isaac had stood by me, peradventure now thou hadst sent me away naked: God beheld my affliction and the labour of my hands, and rebuked thee yesterday.


Art thou he that art to come, or look we for another?


8 One went out, and you said: A beast devoured him: and hitherto he appeareth not.


1 And he said to Laban: Give me my wife; for now the time is fulfilled, that I may go in unto her.


9 Lahan answered: It is better that I give her thee than to another man; stay with me.


3 (Now this he said, signifying what death he should die.)


According to their pastures they were filled, and were made full: and they lifted up their heart, and have forgotten me.


0 And shall say to them: This our son is rebellious and stubborn, he slighteth hearing our admonitions, he giveth himself to revelling, and to debauchery and banquetings:


1 And thou saidst to thy servants: Bring him hither to me, and I will set my eyes on him.


6 But God hath taken our father's riches, and delivered them to us, and to our children: wherefore do all that God hath commanded thee.


2 And she conceived and bore a son, and called his name Ruben, saying: The Lord saw my affliction: now my husband will love me.


4 Salt is good. But if the salt shall lose its savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned?


2 For after all these things do the heathens seek. For your Father knoweth that you have need of all these things.


8 And Jacob being in love with her, said: I will serve thee seven years for Rachel thy younger daughter.
