And when the voice of the trumpet shall give a longer and broken tune, and shall sound in your ears, all the people shall shout together with a very great shout, and the walls of the city shall fall to the ground, and they shall enter in every one at the place against which they shall stand.


4 Nations rose up, and were angry: sorrows took hold on the inhabitants of Philisthiim.


And the Lord said to him: I have seen the affliction of my people in Egypt, and I have heard their cry because of the rigour of them that are over the works:


0 Bread becometh abominable to him in his life, and to his soul the meat which before he desired.


6 And if he should hear me when I call, I should not believe that he had heard my voice.


1 And they shall pass by it, they shall fall, and be hungry: and when they shall be hungry, they will be angry, and curse their king, and their God, and look upwards.


Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; shame hath covered my face.


And he said: I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Moses hid his face: for he durst not look at God.


Go round about the city, all ye fighting men, once a day: so shall ye do for six days.


0 And rising in the dead time of the night, she took my child from my side, while I thy handmaid was asleep, and laid it in her bosom: and laid her dead child in my bosom.


4 I will praise thee, for thou art fearfully magnified: wonderful are thy works, and my soul knoweth right well.


4 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying: Know the Lord: for all shall know me from the least of them even to the greatest, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.


1 He said to Moses: I beseech thee, my lord, lay not upon us this sin, which we have foolishly committed:
