8 (To whom it was said: In Isaac shall thy seed be called.)


0 And David commanded all the assembly: Bless ye the Lord our God. And all the assembly blessed the Lord the God of their fathers: and they bowed themselves and worshipped God, and then the king.


And I will give to thee, and to thy seed, the land of thy sojournment, all the land of Chanaan for a perpetual possession, and I will be their God.


6 I have declared my ways, and thou hast heard me: tech me thy justifications.


3 And at the second time, Joseph was known by his brethren, and his kindred was made known to Pharao.


Sacrifice and oblation thou didst not desire; but thou hast pierced ears for me. Burnt offering and sin offering thou didst not require :


8 But if his hands find not the means to repay the price, the buyer shall have what he bought, until the year of the jubilee. For in that year all that is sold shall return to the owner, and to the ancient possessor.


1 There they buried him, and Sara his wife: there was Isaac buried with Rebecca his wife: there also Lia doth lie buried.


0 For what glory is it, if committing sin, and being buffeted for it, you endure? But if doing well you suffer patiently; this is thankworthy before God.


4 And all things that are done, God will bring into judgment for every error, whether it be good or evil.


2 More than these, my son, require not. Of making many books there is no end: and much study is an affliction of the flesh.


0 He that shall be, his name is already called: and it is known, that he is man, and cannot contend in judgment with him that is stronger than himself.


8 I went mourning without indignation; I rose up, and cried in the crowd.


5 Now he being dead, his brethren were afraid, and talked one with another : Lest perhaps he should remember the wrong he suffered, and requite us all the evil that we did to him.

9 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread till thou return to the earth, out of which thou wast taken: for dust thou art, and into dust thou shalt return.


4 And when he had seen one of them suffer wrong, he defended him; and striking the Egyptian, he avenged him who suffered the injury.


The children of Heth answered, saying:


4 And he heard their groaning, and remembered the covenant which he made with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
