0 And Lot, lifting up his eyes, saw all the country about the Jordan, which was watered throughout, before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrha, as the paradise of the Lord, and like Egypt as one comes to Segor.


Made war against Bara king of Sodom, and against Bersa king of Gomorrha, and against Sennaab king of Adama, and against Semeber king of Seboim, and against the king of Bala, which is Segor.


9 For I feared his indignation and anger, wherewith being moved against you, he would have destroyed you. And the Lord heard me this time also.


3 Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou sworest by thy own self, saying: I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven: and this whole land that I have spoken of, I will give to you seed, and you shall possess it for ever.


1 Who must be reproved, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.


2 But flee thou youthful desires, and pursue justice, faith, charity, and peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.


3 And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.


2 And Moab shall cease to be a people : because he hath gloried against the Lord.


6 In which he that is blessed upon the earth, shall be blessed in God, amen: and he that sweareth in the earth, shall swear by God, amen: because the former distresses are forgotten, and because they are hid from my eyes.


My fugitives shall dwell with thee: O Moab, be thou a covert to them from the face of the destroyer: for the dust is at an end, the wretch is consumed: he hath failed, that trod the earth under foot.


1 And he said to him: Behold also in this, I have heard thy prayers, not to destroy the city for which thou hast spoken.


3 The sun was risen upon the earth, and Lot entered into Segor.


And the children of Israel mourned for him in the plains of Moab thirty days: and the days of their mourning in which they mourned for Moses were ended.
