Dearly beloved, I write not a new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which you have heard.


0 A faithful man shall be much praised: but he that maketh haste to be rich, shall not be innocent.


2 And be ye kind one to another; merciful, forgiving one another, even as God hath forgiven you in Christ.


Thou art beautiful above the sons of men: grace is poured abroad in thy lips; therefore hath God blessed thee for ever


7 Where is then thy boasting? It is excluded. By what law? Of works? No, but by the law of faith.


5 And Simon Peter was standing, and warming himself. They said therefore to him: Art not thou also one of his disciples? He denied it, and said: I am not.


The Spirit breatheth where he will; and thou hearest his voice, but thou knowest not whence he cometh, and whither he goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.


6 And the scribes and the Pharisees, seeing that he ate with publicans and sinners, said to his disiples: Why doth your master eat and drink with publicans and sinners?


6 He that neglecteth a loss for the sake of a friend, is just: but the way of the wicked shall deceive them.


3 Say, therefore, I pray thee, that thou art my sister: that I may be well used for thee, and that my soul may live for thy sake.


And the Lord said to Cain: Where is thy brother Abel? And he answered, I know not: am I my brother's keeper?


8 Wives, be subject to your husbands, as it behoveth in the Lord.


4 Is there any thing hard to God? according to appointment I will return to thee at this same time, life accompanying, and Sara shall have a son.


6 And when the men rose up from thence, they turned their eyes towards Sodom: and Abraham walked with them, bringing them on the way.


Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O thou most mighty.
