For the arrows of the Lord are in me, the rage whereof drinketh up my spirit, and the terrors of the Lord war against me.


3 And Josias took away all the abominations out of all the countries of the children of Israel: and made all that were left in Israel, to serve the Lord their God. As long as he lived they departed not from the Lord the God of their fathers.


8 And the Lord said to him: Take Josue the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and put thy hand upon him.


And she weaned her that was called Without mercy. And she conceived, and bore a son.


4 But the next sabbath day, the whole city almost came together, to hear the word of God.


4 And all things that are done, God will bring into judgment for every error, whether it be good or evil.


Why have the Gentiles raged, and the people devised vain things?


And he went with all the multitude to the high place of Gabaon, where was the tabernacle of the covenant of the Lord, which Moses the servant of God made, in the wilderness.


5 But whithersoever they meant to go, the hand of the Lord was upon them, as he had said, and as he had sworn to them: and they were greatly distressed.

1 And after many evils and afflictions shall have come upon them, this canticle shall answer them for a testimony, which no oblivion shall take away out of the mouth of their seed. For I know their thoughts, and what they are about to de this day, before that I bring them into the land which I have promised them.


And the heavens shall declare his justice: for God is judge.


With the hearing of the ear, I have heard thee, but now my eye seeth thee.
