2 For which cause there sprung even from one (and him as good as dead) as the stars of heaven in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable.


BEL is broken, Nebo is destroyed: their idols are put upon beasts and cattle, your burdens of heavy weight even unto weariness.


And they sung a new canticle, saying: Thou art worthy, O Lord, to take the book, and to open the seals thereof; because thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God, in thy blood, out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation.


For God hath not subjected unto angels the world to come, whereof we speak.


3 The Lord shall go forth as a mighty man, as a man of war shall he stir up zeal: he shall shout and cry: he shall prevail against his enemies.


4 Thou shalt not commit adultery.


0 I set my bounds around it, and made it bars and doors :


2 And when they had heard of the resurrection of the dead, some indeed mocked, but others said: We will hear thee again concerning this matter.


4 Wherefore, dearly beloved, waiting for these things, be diligent that you may be found before him unspotted and blameless in peace.


1 And thou didst divide the sea before them, and they passed through the midst of the sea on dry land: but their persecutors thou threwest into the depth, as a stone into mighty waters.


For the sake of my servant Jacob, and Israel my elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have made a likeness of thee, and thou hast not known me.


5 And sayest thou to me, O Lord God: Buy a field for money, and take witnesses, whereas the city is given into the hands of the Chaldeans?


3 And with thee I will break in pieces the shepherd and his dock, and with thee I will break in pieces the husbandman and his yoke of oxen, and with thee I will break in pieces captains and rulers.


6 The king is not saved by a great army: nor shall the giant be saved by his own great strength.


6 For the Lord will be at thy side, and will keep thy foot that thou be not taken.


6 And he that sat on the cloud thrust his sickle into the earth, and the earth was reaped.


and I called upon the name of the Lord. O Lord, deliver my soul.


3 And when they had ordained to them priests in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, in whom they believed.


2 With a mighty hand and a stretched out arm: for his mercy endureth for ever.


0 My tabernacle is laid waste, all my cords are broken: my children are gone out from me, and they are not: there is none to stretch forth my tent any more, and to set up my curtains.


And if unto others I be not an apostle, but yet to you I am. For you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord.

Who redeemeth thy life from destruction: who crowneth thee with mercy and compassion.


3 But exhort one another every day, whilst it is called to day, that none of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.


Then was our mouth filled with gladness; and our tongue with joy. Then shall they say among the Gentiles: The Lord hath done great things for them.


1 They shall perish, but thou shalt continue: and they shall all grow old as a garment.


1 Weight and balance are judgments of the Lord: and his work all the weights of the bag.


3 The Lord hath looked from heaven: he hath beheld all the sons of men.


I rejoiced at the things that were said to me: We shall go into the house of the Lord.


And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.


The islands saw it, and feared, the ends of the earth were astonished, they drew near, and came.


1 May the glory of the Lord endure for ever: the Lord shall rejoice in his works.


2 the fields and all things that are in them shall be joyful. Then shall all the trees of the woods rejoice


These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks, that stand before the Lord of the earth.


He that exhorteth, in exhorting; he that giveth, with simplicity; he that ruleth, with carefulness; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.


2 And the multitude of believers had but one heart and one soul: neither did any one say that aught of the things which he possessed, was his own; but all things were common unto them.


For all our days are spent; and in thy wrath we have fainted away. Our years shall be considered spider:


ARISE, arise, put on thy strength, O Sion, put on the garments of thy glory, O Jerusalem, the city of the Holy One: for henceforth the uncircumcised, and unclean shall no more pass through thee.


4 By the hand of thy servants thou hast reproached the Lord: and hast said: With the multitude of my chariots I have gone up to the height of the mountains, to the top of Libanus: and I will out down its tall cedars, and its choice fir trees, end will enter to the top of its height, to the forest of its Carmel.


Who healeth the broken of heart, and bindeth up their bruises.


He bringeth up clouds from the end of the earth: he hath made lightnings for the rain. He bringeth forth winds out of his stores:


0 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.


7 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.


He shall pursue them, he shall pass in peace, no path shall appear after his feet.


Sing to him, yea sing praises to him: relate all his wondrous works.


1 Let the heavens rejoice, and the earth be glad: and let them say among the nations: The Lord hath reigned.


5 And he that spoke with me, had a measure of a reed of gold, to measure the city and the gates thereof, and the wall.


8 You may be able to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth, and length, and height, and depth:


1 Therefore hear this, thou poor little one, and thou that art drunk but no with wine.


5 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together; the lion and the ox shall eat straw; and dust shall be the serpent's food: they shall not hurt nor kill in all my holy mountain, saith the Lord.


After these things I looked, and behold a door was opened in heaven, and the first voice which I heard, as it were, of a trumpet speaking with me, said: Come up hither, and I will shew thee the things which must be done hereafter.


My lips shall not speak iniquity, neither shall my tongue contrive lying.


Vanity of vanities, said Ecclesiastes, and all things are vanity.


But he said to them: Have you not read what David did when he was hungry, and they that were with him:


And the people did what he had commanded, bringing the earrings to Aaron.


3 God, whose wrath no mall can resist, and under whom they stoop that bear up the world.


9 It is he that giveth strength to the weary, and increaseth force and might to them that are not.


0 And Isaias the son of Amos sent to Ezechias, saying: Thus saith the Lord the God of Israel: I have heard the prayer thou hast made to me concerning Sennacherib king of the Assyrians.


6 And we will cut down as many trees out of Libanus, as thou shalt want, and will convey them in floats by sea to Joppe: and it will be thy part to bring them thence to Jerusalem.


I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing to thy name, O thou most high.
