You did run well, who hath hindered you, that you should not obey the truth?


Stand fast, and be not held again under the yoke of bondage.

And king Joas called Joiada the high priest and the priests, saying to them: Why do you not repair the temple? Take you therefore money no more according to your order, but restore it for the repairing of the temple.


But now, after that you have known God, or rather are known by God: how turn you again to the weak and needy elements, which you desire to serve again?


1 I am afraid of you, lest perhaps I have laboured in vain among you.


9 We know that we are of God, and the whole world is seated in wickedness.
