But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law. For they are unprofitable and vain.

And when he had said these things, while they looked on, he was raised up: and a cloud received him out of their sight.


7 But every one shall offer according to what he hath, according to the blessing of the Lord his God, which he shall give him.


7 You have heard that it was said to them of old: Thou shalt not commit adultery.


8 And thou shalt have confidence, hope being set before thee, and being buried thou shalt sleep secure.


6 And all the silver and gold that thou shalt find in all the province of Babylon, and that the people is willing to offer, and that the priests shall offer of their own accord to the house of their God, which is in Jerusalem,


19 I have accounted all the sinners of the earth prevaricators: therefore have I loved thy testimonies.
