For it is a people that provoketh to wrath, and lying children, children that will not hear the law of God.


3 The prophets have spoken in the wind, and there was no word of God in them: these things therefore shall befall them.


I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name, for it is good in the sight of thy saints.


2 For our iniquities are multiplied before thee, and our sins have testified against us: for our wicked doings are with us, and we have known our iniquities:


And thou shalt say: Hear the word of the Lord, O ye kings of Juda, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem: Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold I will bring an affliction upon this place: so that whoever shall hear it, his ears shall tingle:


1 Let not the foot of pride come to me, and let not the hand of the sinner move me.


Write ye therefore to the Jews, as it pleaseth you, in the king's name, and seal the letters with my ring. For this was the custom, that no man durst gainsay the letters which were sent in the king's name, and were sealed with his ring.


And he brought me in to the door of the court: and I saw, and behold a hole in the wall.


They are in confusion in the ways, the chariots jostle one against another in the streets: their looks are like torches, like lightning running to and fro.


2 There the workers of iniquity are fallen, they are cast out, and could not stand.
