Daleth. He hath bent his bow as an enemy, he hath fixed his right hand as an adversary: and he hath killed all that was fair to behold in the tabernacle of the daughter of Sion, he hath poured out his indignation like fire.


If thou, O Lord, wilt mark iniquities: Lord, who shall stand it.


1 And when the king entered into the house of the Lord, the shieldbearers came and took them, and brought them back again to their armoury.


9 And he made a very strong wind to blow from the west, and it took the locusts and cast them into the Red Sea: there remained not so much as one in all the coasts of Egypt.


in the children of men, in whom there is no salvation.


7 Where is then thy boasting? It is excluded. By what law? Of works? No, but by the law of faith.


3 For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.


2 And when he was accused by the chief priests and ancients, he answered nothing.

9 So they went on together, and came into a city, that was in the uttermost borders of his kingdom.

9 But the triumpher in Israel will riot spare, and will not be moved to repentance: for he is not a mail that he should repent.


For the sinner is praised in the desires of his soul: and the unjust man is blessed.


5 And Samuel saw Saul no more till the day of his death: nevertheless Samuel mourned for Saul, because the Lord repented that he had made him king over Israel.

5 Where Josue said: Because thou hast troubled us, the Lord trouble thee this day. And all Israel stoned him: and all things that were his, were consumed with fire.


8 And it came to pass on the seventh day that the child died: and the servants of David feared to tell him, that the child was dead. For they said: Behold when the child was yet alive, we spoke to him, and he would not hearken to our voice: how much more will he afflict himself if we tell him that the child is dead?
