3 For since the time that I went in to Pharao to speak in thy name, he hath afflicted thy people: and thou hast not delivered them.


6 In the fear of the Lord is confidence of strength, and there shall be hope for his children.


Moses therefore made a brazen serpent, and set it up for a sign: which when they that were bitten looked upon, they were healed.


5 And the Lord said to Moses: Why criest thou to me? Speak to the children of Israel to go forward.


6 Commanding them: When you shall do the office of midwives to the Hebrew women, and the time of delivery is come: if it be a man child, kill it: if a woman, keep it alive.


5 And the Lord looked upon the children of Israel, and he knew them.


2 Moses answered before the Lord Behold the children of Israel do no hearken to me; and how will Pharao hear me, especially as I am of uncircumcised lips?


1 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: they that love it, shall eat the fruits thereof.
