He that diggeth a pit, shall fall into it: and he that breaketh a hedge, a serpent shall bite him.


4 The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.


But he answered: Who is the Lord, that I should hear his voice, and let Israel go? I know not the Lord, neither will I let Israel go.


4 And after he had offered sacrifices in the mountain, he called his brethren to eat bread. And when they had eaten, they lodged there:


2 And Moses returned to the Lord, and said: Lord, why hast thou afflicted this people? wherefore hast thou sent me?


7 And the children of Israel came into Elim, where there were twelve fountains of water, and seventy palm trees: and they encamped by the waters.


But the sixth day let them provide for to bring in: and let it be double to that they were wont to gather every day.


If the Lord be favourable, he will bring us into it, and give us a land flowing with milk and honey.


7 How long doth this wicked multitude murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel.


4 And it shall be broken small, as the potter's vessel is broken all to pieces with mighty breaking, and there shall not a sherd be found of the pieces thereof, wherein a little fire may be carried from the hearth, or a, little water be drawn out of the pit.
