3 Let us walk honestly, as in the day: not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and impurities, not in contention and envy:


6 Many seek the face of the prince: but the judgment of every one cometh forth from the Lord.


And the captains shall proclaim through every band in the hearing of the army: What man is there, that hath built a new house, and hath not dedicated it? let him go and return to his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man dedicate it.


4 And this be proved in the hearing of the people, and the cause be debated between him that struck, and the next of kin:


Whosoever shall shed man's blood, his blood shall be shed: for man was made to the image of God.


4 Sevenfold vengeance shall be taken for Cain: but for Lamech seventy times sevenfold.


5 And the Lord said to him: No, it shall not be so: but whosoever shall kill Cain, shall be punished sevenfold. And the Lord set a mark upon Cain, that whosoever found him should not kill him.


2 If men quarrel, and one strike a woman with child, and she miscarry indeed, but live herself: he shall be answerable for so much damage as the woman's husband shall require, and as arbiters shall award.
