And Samuel spoke to all the house of Israel, saying: If you turn to the Lord with all your heart, put away the strange gods from among you, Baalim and Astaroth: and prepare your hearts unto the Lord, and serve him only, and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.


And the Lord said to him: I have seen the affliction of my people in Egypt, and I have heard their cry because of the rigour of them that are over the works:


If thou shalt see the oppressions of the poor, and violent judgments, and justice perverted in the province, wonder not at this matter: for he that is high hath another higher, and there are others still higher than these:


3 And I will take away my hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face thou canst not see.


And he said: Come not nigh hither, put off the shoes from thy feet: for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.


5 To carry the curtains of the tabernacle and the roof of the covenant, the other covering, and the violet covering over all, and the hanging that hangeth in the entry of the tabernacle of the covenant,


0 And shewing mercy unto many thousands, to them that love me, and keep my commandments.


0 Let not others by any curiosity see the things that are in the sanctuary before they be wrapped up, otherwise they shall die.


3 From thirty Sears old and upward, unto fifty years old. Number them all that go in and minister in the tabernacle of the covenant.
