0 Speak, you that ride upon fair asses, and you that sit in judgment, and walk in the way.


2 Whose sons are as new plants in their youth: Their daughters decked out, adorned round about after the similitude of a temple:


And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God, who hath power over these plagues, neither did they penance to give him glory.


And when the Lord saw that he went forward to see, he called to him out of the midst of the bush, and said: Moses, Moses. And he answered: Here I am.


Go about through the streets of Jerusalem, and see, and consider, and seek in the broad places thereof, if you can fins a man that executeth judgement, and seeketh faith: and I will be merciful unto it.


8 He looked towards Sodom and Gomorrha, and the whole land of that country: and he saw the ashes rise up from the earth as the smoke of a furnace.


Seek ye the Lord, and be strengthened: seek his face evermore.


This is the blessing of Juda. Hear, O Lord, the voice of Juda, and bring him in unto his people : his hands shall fight for him, and he shall be his helper against his enemies.


7 Approach thou rather: and hear all things that the Lord our God shall say to thee, and thou shalt speak to us, and we will hear and will do them.


Speak to the children of Israel, that they bring firstfruits to me: of every man that offereth of his own accord, you shall take them.


So that we may confidently say: The Lord is my helper: I will not fear what man shall do to me.


2 And the Lord shall remove men far away, and she shall be multiplied that was left in the midst of the earth.


7 And when the sun was set, there arose a dark mist, and there appeared a smoking furnace and a lamp of fire passing between those divisions.


That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the word of life:


7 And in that he saith, Yet once more, he signifieth the translation of the moveable things as made, that those things may remain which are immoveable.


Remember you not, that when I was yet with you, I told you these things?


5 When therefore you shall see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place: he that readeth let him understand.


3 In that day there shall be a great tumult from the Lord among them: and a man shall take the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall be clasped upon his neighbour's hand.


They have ears and hear not: they have noses and smell not.


And he set up a testimony in Jacob: and made a law in Israel. How great things he commanded our fathers, that they should make the same known to their children:


1 And the people stood afar off. But Moses went to the dark cloud wherein God was.


6 And now the third day was come, and the morning appeared: and behold thunders began to be heard, and lightning to flash, and a very thick cloud to cover the mount, and the noise of the trumpet sounded exceeding loud, and the people that was in the camp, feared.


Who opposeth, and is lifted up above all that is called God, or that is worshipped, so that he sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself as if he were God.

And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of Adam were building.


0 And the Lord came down upon mount Sinai, in the very top of the mount, and he called Moses unto the top thereof. And when he was gone up thither,


And when the Lord was come down in a cloud, Moses stood with him, calling upon the name of the Lord.


Thou shalt not adore them, and thou shalt not serve them. For I am the Lord thy God, a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon their children unto the third and fourth generation, to them that hate me,


Be not very angry, O Lord, and remember no longer our iniquity: behold, see we are all thy people.


1 Then Moses set aside three cities beyond the Jordan at the east side,


8 Yea when they had made also to themselves a molten calf, and had said: This is thy God, that brought thee out of Egypt: and hail committed great blasphemies :


6 He sent from on high, and took me: and received me out of many waters.


6 Why suspect, ye curdled mountains? A mountain in which God is well pleased to dwell: for there the Lord shall dwell unto the end.


that another generation might know them. The children that should be born and should rise up, and declare them to their children.


But our God is in heaven: he hath done all things whatsoever he would.


4 Thou hast cursed his sceptres, the head of his warriors, them that came out as a whirlwind to scatter me. Their joy was like that of him that devoureth the poor man in secret.
