4 I should soon have humbled their enemies, and laid my hand on them that troubled them.


For the Lord is great, and exceedingly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.


8 And Edom answered them: Thou shalt not pass by me: if thou dost I will come out armed against thee.


7 Remember thy servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: look not on the stubbornness of this people, nor on their wickedness and sin:


And the Lord said to Moses: God before the people, and take with thee of the ancients of Israel: and take in thy hand the rod wherewith thou didst strike the river, and go.


9 And all the multitude seeing that Aaron was dead, mourned for him thirty days throughout all their families.


2 They said therefore unto him: Who art thou, that we may give an answer to them that sent us? What sayest thou of thyself?


And I will make her that halted, a remnant: and her that hath been afflicted, a mighty nation: and the Lord will reign over them in mount Sion, from this time now and for ever.


And shall be broken. Gripings and pains shall take hold of them, they shall be in pain as a woman in labour. Every one shall be amazed at his neighbour, their countenances shall be as faces burnt.


Josue called for all Israel, and for the elders, and for the princes, and for the judges, and for the masters, and said to them: I am old, and far advanced in years:


2 Moses therefore wrote the canticle and taught it to the children of Israel.


2 Beware thou never join in friendship with the inhabitants of that land, which may be thy ruin:


7 How long doth this wicked multitude murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel.


9 And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest and all the multitude:


1 Thou shalt say to him: We were bondmen of Pharao in Egypt, and the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a strong hand.


3 To Joseph also he said: Of the blessing of the Lord be his land, of the fruits of heaven, and of the dew, and of the deep that lieth beneath.


5 Man ate the bread of angels: he sent them provisions in abundance.


5 The enemies of the Lord have lied to him: and their time shall be for ever.


9 and was defiled with their works: and they went aside after their own inventions.
