AND it came to pass in the fourteenth year of king Ezechias, that Sennacherib king of the Assyrians came up against all the fenced cities of Juda, and took them.


8 And in nothing be ye terrified by the adversaries: which to them is a cause of perdition, but to you of salvation, and this from God:


1 And so terrible was that which was seen, Moses said: I am frighted, and tremble.


Seeing it is a just thing with God to repay tribulation to them that trouble you:


I give thanks to my God in every remembrance of you,


0 For all the promises of God are in him, It is; therefore also by him, amen to God, unto our glory.


5 Then when concupiscence hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin. But sin, when it is completed, begetteth death.


0 All my bones shall say : Lord, who is like to thee? Who deliverest the poor from the hand of them that are stronger than he; the needy and the poor from them that strip him.


1 And Jesus, that is called Justus: who are of the circumcision: these only are my helpers in the kingdom of God; who have been a comfort to me.


4 And the Lord said to Moses: Write this for a memorial in a book, and deliver it to the ears of Josue: for I will destroy the memory of Amalec from under heaven.


6 Because the hand of the throne of the Lord, and the war of the Lord shall be against Amalec, from generation to generation.


7 And the sight of the glory of the Lord was like a burning fire upon the top of the mount, in the eyes of the children of Israel.


1 As Moses the servant of the Lord had commanded the children of Israel, and it is written in the book of the law of Moses: an altar of unhewn stones which iron had not touched: and he offered upon it holocausts to the Lord, and immolated victims of peace offerings.
