7 Arise, arise, stand up, O Jerusalem, which hast drunk at the hand of the Lord the cup of his wrath; thou hast drunk even to the bottom of the cup of dead sleep, and thou hast drunk even to the dregs.


And to the angel of the church of Philadelphia, write: These things saith the Holy One and the true one, he that hath the key of David; he that openeth, and no man shutteth; shutteth, and no man openeth:


2 Through God we shall do mightily: and he shall bring to nothing them that afflict us.


I have cried to the Lord with my voice: and he hath heard me from his holy hill.


1 For where thy treasure is, there is thy heart also.


Despised, and the most abject of men, a man of sorrows, and acquainted with infirmity: and his look was as it were hidden and despised, whereupon we esteemed him not.


2 And if thou shalt say in thy heart: Why are these things come upon me? For the greatness of thy iniquity, thy nakedness is discovered, the soles of thy feet are defiled.


The rivers shall clap their hands, the mountains shall rejoice together


7 Great was the noise of the waters: the clouds sent out a sound. For thy arrows pass:


8 Remember this, the enemy hath reproached the Lord: and a foolish people hath provoked thy name.


0 But now thou hast cast us off, and put us to shame : and thou, O God, wilt not go out with our armies.


4 from the enemies of thy hand. O Lord, divide them from the few of the earth in their life: their belly is filled from thy hidden stores. They are full of children: and they have left to their little ones the rest of their substance.


4 Nations rose up, and were angry: sorrows took hold on the inhabitants of Philisthiim.


2 And thou shalt defile the plates of thy graven things of silver, and the garment of thy molten things of gold, and shalt cast them away as the uncleanness of a menstruous woman. Thou shalt say to it: Get thee hence.


2 But every woman shall ask of her neighbour, and of her that is in her house, vessels of silver and of gold, and raiment: and you shall put them on your sons and daughters, and shall spoil Egypt.


That appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, by the name of God Almighty; and my name ADONAI I did not shew them.


5 Then were the princes of Edom troubled, trembling seized on the stout men of Moab: all the inhabitants of Chanaan became stiff.


9 For Pharao went in on horseback with his chariots and horsemen into the sea: and the Lord brought back upon them the waters of the sea: but the children of Israel walked on dry ground in the midst thereof.


1 Now I know that the Lord is great above all gods: because they dealt proudly against them.


5 Also before they burnt the fat, the servant of the priest came, and said to the man that sacrificed: Give me flesh to boil for the priest: for I will not take of thee sodden flesh, but raw.


Direct me in thy truth, and teach me; for thou art God my Saviour; and on thee have I waited all the day long.


1 Thou hast made us turn our back to our enemies : and they that hated us plundered for themselves.


1 For my hand shall help him: and my arm shall strengthen him.


THAT thou wouldst rend the heavens, and wouldst come down: the mountains would melt away at thy presence.
