2 And when they began to sing praises, the Lord turned their ambushments upon themselves, that is to say, of the children of Ammon, and of Moab, and of mount Seir, who were come out to fight against Juda, and they were slain.


0 And they rose early in the morning, and went out through the desert of Thecua: and as they were marching, Josaphat standing in the midst of them, said: Hear me, ye men of Juda, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem: believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be secure: believe his prophets, and all things shall succeed well.


The Lord is my strength and my praise, and he is become salvation to me: he is my God and I will glorify him: the God of my father, and I will exalt him.


1 And the king of Israel said to Eliseus, when he saw them: My father, shall I kill them?


And the king of the Assyrians sent Rabsaces from Lachis to Jerusalem, to king Ezechias with a great army, and he stood by the conduit of the upper pool in the way of the fuller's held.


4 Lamed. To crush under his feet all the prisoners of the land,


2 The iniquity of Ephraim is bound up, his sin is hidden.


Gathering, I will gather together all things from off the face of the land, saith the Lord:


9 Behold I do new things, and now they shall spring forth, verily you shall know them: I will make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.


After these things are declared they shall add the rest, and shall speak to the people: What man is there that is fearful, and faint hearted? let him go, and return to his house, lest he make the hearts of his brethren to fear, as he himself is possessed with fear.


4 And the inhabitants of this land, (who have heard that thou, O Lord, art among this people, and art seen face to face, and thy cloud protecteth them, and thou goest before them in a pillar of a cloud by day, and in a pillar of fire by night,)


9 Gad, being girded, shall fight before him: and he himself shall be girded backward.


Set up the standard in Sion. Strengthen yourselves, stay not: for I bring evil from the north, and great destruction.


4 Thou madest known to them thy holy sabbath, and didst prescribe to them commandments, and ceremonies, and the law by the hand of Moses thy servant.


Now when these things were done, the word of the Lord came to Abram by a vision, saying: Fear not, Abram, I am thy protector, and thy reward exceeding great.


By the fruit of their corn, their wine and oil, they are multiplied.


1 Lord, let thy hand be exalted, and let them not see: let the envious people see, and be confounded: and let fire devour thy enemies.


3 Saying: Say you, His disciples came by night, and stole him away when we were asleep.


3 And rain shall be given to thy seed, wheresoever thou shalt sow in the land: and the bread of the corn of the land shall be most plentiful, and fat. The lamb in that day shall feed at large in thy possession:


9 Saying: God forbid that I should do this in the sight of my God, and should drink the blood of these men: for with the danger of their lives they have brought me the water. And therefore he would not drink. These things did the three most valiant.


6 I have heard and my bowels were troubled: my lips trembled at the voice. Let rottenness enter into my bones, and swarm under me. That I may rest in the day of tribulation: that I may go up to our people that are girded.


Return, O Israel, to the Lord thy God: for thou hast fallen down by thy iniquity.


I will go down with thee thither, and will bring thee back again from thence: Joseph also shall put his hands upon thy eyes.


3 You shall not make gods of silver, nor shall you make to yourselves gods of gold.


Speak of me before the Lord, and before his anointed, whether I have taken any man's ox, or ass: If I have wronged any man, if I have oppressed any man, if I have taken a bribe at any man's hand: and I will despise it this day, and will restore it to you.


1 And turn not aside after vain things which shall never profit you, nor deliver you, because they are vain.


2 And Achaz said: I will not ask, and I will not tempt the Lord.


4 Where the Lord appeared to him that same might, saying: I am the God of Abraham thy father; do not fear, for I am with thee: I will bless thee, and multiply thy seed for my servant Abraham's sake.


8 Command thy strength, O God: confirm, O God, what thou hast wrought in us.


0 And he put away the tabernacle of Silo, his tabernacle where he dwelt among men.


5 He shall cry to me, and I will hear him: I am with him in tribulation, I will deliver him, and I will glorify him.


And I will not have mercy on her children: for they are the children of fornications.
