But thou, a forgiving God, gracious, and merciful, longsuffering, and full of compassion, didst not forsake them.


for the Lord is sweet, his mercy endureth for ever, and his truth to generation and generation.


8 But Josue the son of Nun, thy minister, he shall go in for thee: exhort and encourage him, and he shall divide the land by lot to Israel.

9 Forgive, I beseech thee, the sins of this people, according to the greatness of thy mercy, as thou hast been merciful to them from their going out of Egypt unto this place.


And he called the name of that place, The burning: for that the fire of the Lord had been kindled against them.


3 So it came to pass in the evening, that quails coming up, covered the camp: and in the morning, a dew lay round about the camp.


3 That their children also, who now are ignorant, may hear, and fear the Lord their God, all the days that they lire in the land whither you are going over the Jordan to possess it.


4 When he that is in heaven appointeth kings over her, they shall be whited with snow in Selmon.


That they may put their hope in God and may not forget the works of God: and may seek his commandments.


Thy lips are as a scarlet lace: and thy speech sweet. Thy cheeks are as a piece of a pomegranate, besides that which lieth hid within.


3 And Moses stretched forth his rod upon the land of Egypt: and the Lord brought a burning wind all that day, and night: and when it was morning, the burning wind raised the locusts:


And when he had received them, he fashioned them by founders' work, and made of them a molten calf. And they said: These are thy gods, O Israel, that have brought thee out of the land of Egypt.
