3 And it was said unto him: Know thou beforehand that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land not their own, and they shall bring them under bondage, and afflict them four hundred years.


For the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have seen their affliction, wherewith they are oppressed by the Egyptians.


3 And going out the next day, he saw two Hebrews quarreling: and he said to him that did the wrong: Why strikest thou thy neighbour?


2 And he nourished them, and all his father's house, allowing food to every one.


3 If my people had heard me: if Israel had walked in my ways:


1 And thou shalt feast in all the good things which the Lord thy God hath given thee, and thy house, thou and the Levite, and the stranger that is with thee.


0 But he answered: Thou shalt not pass. And immediately he came forth to meet them with an infinite multitude, and a strong hand,


1 Study wisdom, my son, and make my heart joyful, that thou mayst give an answer to him that reproacheth.


0 The king sent, and he released him: the ruler of the people, and he set him at liberty.


0 Our God is the God of salvation: and of the Lord, of the Lord are the issues from death.


But of the children of Israel he set none to serve in the king's works: for they were men of war, and chief captains, and rulers of his chariots and horsemen.


4 And the daughter of Pharao came up out of the city of David to her house, which Solomon had built for her: then did he build Mello.


7 And he said: You are idle, and therefore you say: Let us go and sacrifice to the Lord.


6 Commanding them: When you shall do the office of midwives to the Hebrew women, and the time of delivery is come: if it be a man child, kill it: if a woman, keep it alive.


2 And the people was scattered through all the land of Egypt to gather straw.


For the eyes of the Lord behold all the earth, and give strength to those who with a perfect heart trust in him. Wherefore thou hast done foolishly, and for this cause from this time wars shall arise against thee.


And they that have passed by have not said: The blessing of the Lord be upon you: we have blessed you in the name of the Lord.


0 And the overseers of the works and the taskmasters went out and said to the people: Thus saith Pharao, I allow you no straw:


Out of the depths I have cried to thee, O Lord:
